Abbie has lectured at schools and universities across the world, including The Juilliard School, New York, Georgia State College, the Universities of Birmingham, Leeds, Westminster, Loughborough, Dublin City and the University of Wales Lampeter. Abbie holds an MSc in Entrepreneurship and a BA Hons in History of Art & Design.

As an Artist in Residence, Abbie uses a variety of teaching and learning styles in art, with the aim of familiarising each pupil with the elements of art: line, tone, colour, pattern, form and texture. Abbie gives each child the opportunity to have fun experiencing a wide variety of processes including drawing, painting, printing, collage, textiles and 3D work.

The tasks Abbie sets provide a range of challenges, allowing for the differing ability in the classes, and suitable learning opportunities are provided, matching the challenge of the task to the ability of the child.

Abbie's combination of academic expertise and audience participation was a massive hit with the postgraduate students, almost everyone of them contacted me afterwards to say how fantastic she was; she was most definitely the highlight of our enterprise week."
